UK 50 Pence Cupro-Nickel Coin, New Pence Legend, Brilliant Uncirculated - A UK 50 pence cupro-nickel coin featuring the Britannia reverse and the NEW PENCE legend. This large-format heptagonal coin is presented in a navy blue commemorative cardboard mount. The card is printed with UNITED KINGDOM in gold-tone lettering and 50p in white. A rectangular security sticker is affixed to the mount, containing repeating micro-text including UNCIRCULATED, UNITED KINGDOM, CERTIFIED, and BRILLIANT. The obverse portrait and date are not visible due to the mounting. This large-type format was withdrawn from circulation in 1997.
