2011 UK London 2012 Olympics Cycling Silver 50 Pence Coin - A United Kingdom silver 50 pence coin, issued in 2011 as part of the commemorative series for the London 2012 Olympic Games. The heptagonal coin is struck in sterling silver. The obverse features the fourth definitive portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley, with the circumscribed legend ELIZABETH II D G REG F D 2011. The reverse, designed by Neil Wolfson, depicts a track cyclist on a velodrome with the London 2012 Olympic logo at the top left and the denomination 50 PENCE at the bottom right. The coin is housed in a clear plastic protective capsule with a black foam insert.
