A Collection of British Military and Service Uniform Buttons - A collection of approximately 50-60 British military and service uniform buttons dating from the early to mid-20th century. The lot comprises a variety of sizes and materials, including brass, gilt-brass, white metal, and black composition. Identified unit and service insignia include the Royal Engineers featuring a lion and crown, Royal Artillery with the crowned field gun, Royal Army Physical Training Corps depicting a gymnast with a sword, Bedfordshire & Hertfordshire Regiment with the hart crossing a ford, and General Service buttons featuring the Royal Coat of Arms. Maritime examples include buttons with crowned and fouled anchors, alongside a fleur-de-lis insignia. Reverse markings and backstamps include W.L.M. LTD (William Magrath & Co Ltd), J.R. Gaunt & Son Ltd, Powell London, Buttons Birmingham, and markings for Bedford and Chester. Most buttons are circular with shank-back attachments. Weight: Under 500g.
