Italian Style Carved and Painted Marble Topped Side Table - An Italian style side table featuring a square inset marble top. The marble slab is cream with salmon-pink mottling and intermittent grey-blue and black veining, finished with a rounded edge profile. The wooden base has an off-white crackle-glaze finish embellished with hand-painted polychrome floral decoration. Each apron is centred with a carved floral spray of roses in shades of pink and yellow with pale green foliate scrolls. The corner blocks are decorated with square floral bosses featuring gilt highlights. The table is raised on four tapered legs, each with a bulbous, gadrooned upper section and gilt accents, terminating in small flared feet with green and gilt decoration. No maker's marks or signatures are present.
