The set contains a nickel-brass one pound, cupro-nickel fifty, twenty, ten, and five pence pieces, and bronze two, one, and half pence pieces. Each coin features the Arnold Machin portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse with the legend ELIZABETH·II D·G·REG·F·D·1983. The reverse designs include the Royal Arms, Britannia, a crowned Tudor Rose, a crowned lion, a crowned thistle, the Prince of Wales's feathers, a crowned portcullis, and the Imperial Crown. The coins are housed in a sealed clear plastic insert within the folder.
