UK 1911 Edward VII Shilling - A UK 1911 silver coin, being a one shilling piece. The obverse features the right-facing profile of King Edward VII, circumscribed by the legend EDWARDVS VII DEI GRA: BRITT: OMN: REX. The initials DES are struck below the neck truncation. The reverse displays the Royal Crest, a lion passant guardant standing atop a crown, with the legend FID: DEF: IND: IMP: above and ONE SHILLING below. The date is split by the base of the crown as 19 and 11. The coin is finished with a reeded edge. No fineness or hallmark is struck on the surface.
