The obverse carries the inscriptions YEAR OF THE DRAGON and 2012, alongside Chinese characters 壬辰年 within a rectangular cartouche and 龍騰盛世 horizontally. The reverse is struck with the peripheral legends .999 FINE SILVER and 1/2 TROY OUNCE. The reverse central field features five Chinese character virtues with English translations: 勇敢 BRAVE, 力量 POWER, 強大 STRONG, 運氣 LUCK, and 誠實 HONEST. The round has a reeded edge.
