Falkland Islands 1982 silver Liberation Crown - A 1982 commemorative crown issued for the Falkland Islands to mark the liberation of the territory. The reverse design features the Falkland Islands coat of arms, comprising a ram above the sailing ship DESIRE, superimposed over a Union Jack motif. Legible inscriptions struck on the reverse include LIBERATION, 14TH JUNE 1982, and the motto DESIRE THE RIGHT on a ribbon at the base of the crest. The coin is presented in a black leatherette case with a velvet-lined interior and a cream paper insert in the lid. This insert is printed with the Falkland Islands crest and the text THE FALKLAND ISLANDS LIBERATION CROWN. No hallmarks, fineness stamps, or maker's marks are visible on the coin or the accompanying packaging.
