A Collection of UK Commemorative Crowns, 1965 to 1981 - This lot comprises a collection of UK commemorative crowns struck in white metal. Each coin is of standard crown size with a milled edge and celebrates a significant national event. One coin features a central portrait surrounded by ten heraldic motifs and is inscribed QUEEN ELIZABETH THE QUEEN MOTHER AUGUST 4th 1980. Another coin displays a right-facing portrait and is inscribed CHURCHILL. A third coin features conjoined profiles inscribed H.R.H. THE PRINCE OF WALES AND LADY DIANA SPENCER 1981. The final coin depicts an equestrian portrait inscribed ELIZABETH II D G REG F D 1977. No hallmarks, fineness marks, or maker's marks are visible on the surfaces of the coins.
