A Trio of Japanese Meiji Period Decorative Dishes - This lot comprises three Japanese Meiji period decorative dishes, each of lobed octagonal form. Each dish features a central hexagonal panel depicting an eagle in relief against a dark ground. Two panels show the bird perched upon a rocky outcrop, while the third depicts an eagle in flight. The borders are decorated with intricate openwork sukashi floral and karakusa foliate scroll patterns. The items display a two-tone finish with metallic highlights against a patinated surface. No maker's marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the items.
