A 2000 Wade Ceramics Lidded Jar for Ringtons, Windsor Castle Pattern - A 2000 lidded storage jar of faceted octagonal form, featuring blue and white transfer-printed decoration. The lid features a central scene of a fortress above a body of water, captioned WINDSOR CASTLE in blue script. Both the lid and the shoulder of the jar are decorated with a repeating border of stylised shells and anthemion motifs. The rims of the lid and the jar are finished with a gold-toned gilt line. The base bears a blue printed mark consisting of a horse-drawn cart within a circle, with RINGTONS in an arc above and a ribbon banner below reading MILLENNIUM 2000. Beneath this, text in a semi-circle reads MANUFACTURED EXCLUSIVELY FOR RINGTONS BY WADE CERAMICS. A small blue printed number 11 is located near the edge, along with a hand-painted gold letter M.
