The unit is constructed with a grey and black composite housing, featuring a yellow pull-start handle, a yellow ignition dial, and an integrated chain brake handle. A black identification label located near the rear handle is printed with RYOBI, RCS-4040C, a CE mark, and the year 2007. The top housing features various safety and operating pictograms and a yellow dial marked with the characters I, S, and R.
