2 German Empire Postal Cards (Postkarte) Sent to Palestine - Jerusalem and Bethlehem, Late 19th Century - 2 official German Empire (Deutsches Reich) postal cards of the Postkarte / Weltpostverein type, sent to Palestine in the late 19th century. The first card is addressed to Jerusalem (Palästina) with German postal markings and arrival cancellation. The second card is addressed to Bethlehem with forwarding markings. Both cards feature handwritten messages in German on the reverse. These cards hold significant postal-history value as mail from the Ottoman period in Palestine.
