Two passports bearing British authorities entry visas for Palestine (E.I.), 1947-1948, Czechoslovakia and Romania, with consular revenue stamps. Units in lot: 2 - (1) Czechoslovak passport, CESTOVNY PAS, Czechoslovak Republic, no. 3048/4711/47, issued to Regina Sternova of Zilina by the NB I Regional Command in Bratislava on 29 July 1947, valid for travel to Palestine (E.I.) through all European states and back until 29 July 1948. A cancelled 20 Korun Czechoslovak revenue stamp on the first page. On page 9, a visa of the visa section of the British Embassy in Prague, VISA FOR PALESTINE, dated 18 September 1947, no. 11745, for a single journey only under immigration certificate no. 133958, valid for entry to Palestine until 30 November 1947, alongside three British consular revenue stamps (7/6, 7/6, 1/-) cancelled by the Prague visa section handstamp. (2) Romanian passport for travel abroad, PASPORT PENTRU STRAINATATE, no. 035271, in a Kingdom of Romania (REGATUL ROMANIEI) cover with People's Republic of Romania printing inside, issued to Abraham Schlosser of Iasi by the Ministry of the Interior on 29 April 1948 for a period of six months against a fee of 2000 Lei, for travel to Palestine (E.I.). The passport carries Romanian security directorate departure visas of 30 April 1948 and 14 August 1948 for Abraham Schlosser and his wife via the Constanta border post, a British Legation Bucharest visa of 13 May 1948 for a single journey to Palestine until 30 June 1948 under immigration certificate no. 136045 with three British consular revenue stamps (10/-, 5/-, 1/-), a French Consulate Bucharest transit visa with three 100 Francs consular revenue stamps, a Swiss transit visa of 17 September 1948 with a Swiss revenue stamp and a Buchs entry handstamp of 28 September 1948, a Hungarian Legation transit visa of 21 September 1948, an Austrian transit visa of October 1948 and a French railway station handstamp of 18 September 1948. The photograph is absent from the Romanian passport. Condition: good, signs of use and wear to the covers.
