Three first day covers of the New Year 5711 issue, 31 August 1950, with Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and Haifa postmarks, each with an illustrated cachet of the emblems of the twelve tribes and a handwritten signature read as Arthur Szyk. Units in lot: 3 - Each cover is franked with two stamps of the New Year issue and carries the day of issue cachet inscribed in Hebrew and DAY OF ISSUE. The postmarks are dated 31 August 1950 for JERUSALEM, TEL AVIV and HAIFA. The illustrated cachet is inscribed 5711 in Hebrew with the names of the twelve tribes, and the handwritten signature appears alongside a small gazelle handstamp. Condition: very good.
