Lot of 3 Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael (JNF) Herzl labels, 1909, denomination 5, in three shades, imperforate, catalogue 10. Units in lot: 3 - The design is based on a photograph by E. M. Lilien showing Herzl standing on the balcony of the Three Kings Hotel in Basel, with the Tower of David in Jerusalem in place of the Rhine. The label was designed by Hans Dieters. The head of the label carries the inscriptions Judischer Nationalfond and Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael, and the foot carries the Hebrew inscription If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, between a menorah and a Star of David. The lot contains three labels in three shades, exactly as photographed. The additional image is a catalogue page for identification and is not part of the lot.
