Lot of 2 documents from the British Mandate period in Palestine (E.I.). (1) A blank Government of Palestine form, GOVERNMENT OF PALESTINE, RECORD OF TRAVELLER REGISTERED AS AN IMMIGRANT AND OF ANY PERSON DEPENDANT ON AND ACCOMPANYING TRAVELLER, with sections for the mode of arrival in Palestine, race, religion and the particulars of the traveller and of those accompanying him, form number M/38 A. (2) A receipt of the BRITISH OVERSEAS AIRWAYS CORPORATION, number ME 17388, dated 24 July 1946, for the sum of seventy Palestine pounds for an air ticket, issued to a traveller from Jerusalem and completed by hand. The receipt is franked with a PALESTINE REVENUE 10 mils stamp and bears a PAYMENT RECEIVED handstamp, with the printer's imprint FOTIADIS PRESS CAIRO at its foot. Toned paper, fold marks, a filing punch hole and light tears at the edges. Fair to good condition, exactly as photographed. Units in lot: 2
