Lot of 2 issues of the official gazette of the Government of Palestine (E.I.), 26 December 1946. Two parallel issues from the British Mandate period, one in English, THE PALESTINE GAZETTE, PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY, NO. 1544, THURSDAY, 26TH DECEMBER, 1946, and the second in Hebrew, the official gazette of the Government of Palestine (E.I.), published by authority. Each cover bears the British royal arms and the table of contents, which includes among other items the High Commissioner's Christmas message, appointments, lists of graduate nurses, notices of lost Palestine savings certificates and claims for mutilated currency notes. A notice is also included of Supplement No. 2, containing Orders Nos. 27 and 28 of 1946 converting certain land to the category termed MIRI, road transport rules, and municipal business tax by-laws for Gaza, Majdal and the Petah Tiqva rural area. Toned paper, age spots, fold marks, rusted staples and light tears at the edges. Mixed condition, exactly as photographed. Units in lot: 2
