Palestine Jewish Medical Association, membership booklet no. 2302 in the name of Dr. Yeshayahu Bercovici, 1940 to 1941. A membership booklet printed in Hebrew and English, PALESTINE JEWISH MEDICAL ASSOCIATION, the cover noting that the association was founded on 11 January 1912. The cover carries in manuscript the member's number 2302, the member's name Dr. Yeshayahu Bercovici and in Latin letters Dr. Bercovici J., the date 18.12.48, a signature and a framed handstamp of the central committee, MEDICAL ASSOCIATION OF ISRAEL CENTRAL COMMITTEE, TEL-AVIV, 9 YAVNEH STREET. The inner pages carry the member's photograph, stapled to the page and struck with the central committee handstamp, a table of membership dues for the months September to December 1940 and for all the months of 1941, a section on the physician's duties and rights, and the list of branches and their representatives: Jerusalem, Haifa, Petah Tikva, Tiberias, Hadera, Ramat Gan, the Sharon at Kfar Saba, southern Judea at Rehovot, Rishon LeZion, the Jezreel Valley at Afula and Herzliya. Pale blue paper wrappers, folds, age stains and wear at the edges. Fair to good condition, exactly as photographed.
