David Remez, his autograph signature, on a Keren HaYesod greeting card for the first anniversary of the State of Israel, 1949. The front carries the emblem of the State of Israel, a menorah between two olive branches with the word Israel, and beside it the inscription Israel, one year. The reverse is printed: the Committee for the Frontier Settlements, the greeting of Keren HaYesod for the anniversary of the State of Israel. The card is franked with the Israeli flag stamp of 20 pruta face value, cancelled with a Tel Aviv postmark, and beside it a blue TABUL philatelic exhibition label, Tel Aviv 5709 1949, with a dove device. The body of the card is written by hand in blue ink: and hope for peace, followed by the signature D. Remez and beneath it Beit Sokolov 14. Beside the stamp the date 1. 5. 1949 is written in brown ink. Age stains and light signs of use. Good condition, exactly as photographed.
