Magen Yerushalayim, the Community Council, a strip of 5 emergency defence tax labels of 5 mils face value, Jerusalem, British Mandate period. A perforated strip of five identical labels. Each label carries a black frame, at its head the inscription Magen Yerushalayim, at its centre the value 5 mils over a red printed ground bearing the vertical inscription defence tax for a time of emergency, and at its foot the inscription the Community Council. The labels are uncancelled and the reverse is free of mounting marks. The perforation is complete, with light age stains. Good condition, exactly as photographed.
