Lot of 2 Reshumot booklets of the State of Israel, 1949, the state's first year: Reshumot, Sefer HaChukim (Book of Laws), and Reshumot, Official Gazette No. 47, Supplement B, of 14 January 1949, both with the menorah emblem of the State of Israel on the cover. Among the printed material: the Transition Law, 5709-1949, which laid down that the house of representatives shall be called the Knesset and that the Constituent Assembly shall be called the First Knesset; an amendment to the rules of procedure of the Provisional State Council under the Law and Administration Ordinance, 5708-1948, of 13 January 1949, signed for the Provisional State Council by its chairman Y. Sprinzak; and further regulations and orders of 5709, among them orders under the Food Ordinance and under the Defence Regulations 1939.
