Registered cover from Tel Aviv, 1948, franked with two blocks of six from the New Year 5709 issue, each block made up of tête-bêche pairs across the gutter: 3 mil, sheet number 25177, and 5 mil, sheet number 36836. The gutter of each block carries the registration triangle and the colour control marks. TEL-AVIV registration label number 6031, Tel Aviv cancels on the front and arrival cancels on the reverse, addressed in manuscript to a Tel Aviv post office box. Very good condition, exactly as photographed.
