British Mandate Jerusalem Permit, Jerusalem 1948, serial number 05450. Completed in manuscript in the name Margot Krause, community J, address Talbieh, reason for visit Resident and hours ALL, inscribed at the head Date to be withdrawn 9.3.48. The form carries the handstamp Jerusalem Permit for more than 24 hours, circular government pass handstamps and the signature of the issuing officer for the Military Commander. The printed instruction at the foot requires the holder to leave the zone by the same gate through which he entered and to surrender the permit. The printer's imprint records a printing of 50,000 copies on 12 January 1948. Fair condition, light tears, exactly as photographed.
