60 years of the Habima Theatre, Tel Aviv-Yafo, 25.12.1978 (25 Kislev 5739): cover signed by Habima actors, among them the actress Aviva Marks, with the special event postmark - A cover from the 60th anniversary celebrations of the Habima Theatre, the national theatre of Israel, signed by Habima actors in blue and in violet ink. Among them: Aviva Marks (born London 1932, a graduate of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, a Habima actress from 1967). Beside her five more signatures, one in violet ink and one with a handwritten dedication; the names of the other signers could not be read with certainty, exactly as photographed. The cover bears 10 Israeli stamps, cancelled with the special event postmark: ”60 years of the Habima Theatre” with the theatre's emblem, ”Tel Aviv-Yafo, 25 Kislev 5739, 25.12.1978”, the first day of Hanukkah. Habima was founded in Moscow in 1917, settled in Tel Aviv in 1931 and was declared the national theatre of Israel in 1958. It marked its 60th year in 1978, and the postmark was issued for the celebrations. Envelope 16.2 x 11.5 cm, the back blank. Complete, light brown spots and a crease at the upper left corner, exactly as photographed.
