Vintage Hamilton Accumatic A-514
Hamilton introduced the Accumatic line in 1956 and produced them in various versions through 1972. This particular model was called the Accumatic A-514 when first introduced in 1972. In 1973, Hamilton dropped the Accumatic branding and this watch was known just as the A-514 in its second, and final, year of production. This watch comes with a Swiss made (ETA) Hamilton caliber 818 automatic movement with 17 jewels. The watch features a mint condition matte finished green dial with applied hour markers with black accents and a painted minute track on the white chapter ring. The low domed acrylic crystal was polished clean and clear of any major defects. The stainless steel case has been hand polished with fine scratches evident. The crown is signed. The watch comes ready to wear on a stainless steel Hamilton bracelet with signed clasp. The 818 caliber automatic also hand winds and was serviced December 2022 and is running strong and currently performing at +/- 16 seconds per day.37.7mm wide (excluding the crown), 46.1mm Length , 10.8mm Thick , 20mm Lug to Lug, Case - Hand polished stainless steel case with some scratches. Stainless steel screw down case back. The crown is signed., Lugs - Integrated lugs are in excellent condition., Crystal - Low domed acrylic crystal polished clean and clear of any major defects., Hands - Appear to be original with extremely light patina., Dial - Original, mint condition dial. Matte finished with applied hour markers with black accents. Painted Hamilton "H" logo, Hamilton, and painted 'selfwinding' branding. Painted minute track on the white chapter ring, Bracelet - Stainless steel, three link Hamilton bracelet. Signed stainless steel clasp., Movement - Swiss (ETA) made Hamilton caliber 818, automatic with hand winding, 17 jewels. Fully serviced December 2022. Runs strong and keeping excellent time.
