Taber Sears (1870 - 1950) Watercolor gouache on paper , Signed , measures 8" x 12" , w/frame 12.5" x 15.5" Taber Sears, an artist well known for his mural paintings and water-colors, who was a former president of the Municipal Art Society, died yesterday inRoosevelt Hospital of a heart attack after a long illness. He resided at 1060 Park Avenue. Born in Boston in 1870, a son of George T.S. Sears and the former CarolineTaber, Mr. Sears was a descendant of the Richard Sears who settled inPlymouth in 1630.
