Elliot Orr (1904-1997) Oil on Artist Panel, signed lower right, verso painted blue and signed "Elliot Orr, Chatham, Mass., Piece measures 6 x 11 and 10.5 x 15.5 inches with frame. Elliot Orr was born in Flushing, New York in 1904. He studied at Grand Central Art School with Charles Hawthorne and moved to Provincetown, Massachusetts in 1924. He studied with George Luks in 1927. Orr was included in the exhibitions 'Romantic Painting in America' at the Carnegie Institute.
