Francis Orpen Morris (1810–1893) was an Irish clergyman, naturalist, and writer, best known for his works on British birds, insects, and natural history. A passionate advocate for wildlife conservation, he authored the influential A History of British Birds (1851–1857), celebrated for its vivid color illustrations by Alexander Francis Lydon. Morris also wrote extensively about butterflies and moths, contributing significantly to Victorian-era interest in natural history.
