Dominique Vivant Denon (1747–1825) was a French artist, writer, diplomat, and archaeologist, best known for his role in the creation of the Louvre Museum. As a key figure in Napoleon’s Egyptian expedition, he documented ancient sites, which later influenced European interest in Egyptology and art history.
