Giulio Cesare Casserius (1552–1616) & Adrian van den Spieghel (1578–1625) – ”Tab. XII – Anatomical Study of the Eye and Bones” – Copperplate Engraving (1645) - This original copperplate engraving from Lib. X, Tab. XII presents a detailed anatomical study of the human eye and various bones. The figures (Fig. I through Fig. XI) showcase different views of the eye, including its structures and internal anatomy, as well as illustrations of bones, including the skull and other skeletal features. Each figure is labeled with precision in Latin, reflecting the early modern method of anatomical study and its increasing sophistication.
