The Entomologist's Monthly Magazine, Second Series, Vol. IV - The Entomologists' Monthly Magazine: Conducted by C.G Barrett, W.W Fowler, G.C Champion, R. McLachlan, J.W Douglas, E. Saunders, and Lord Walsingham. This is a Second Series, Volume IV. Published by Gurney and Jackson (Mr. Van Voorst's Successors), in London on 1 Paternoster Row, 1893.  This hardcover piece is partially leather-bound. The spine is leather while a portion of the front and back cover are a textured pressed board. It comes in deep green with gold linear accenting on the outside, while the page edges have a red-speckled finish. There are some signs of scuffing to the leather portions as well as color rubbing. The corners of the front and back cover are slightly bent with some loss to the leather. The pages appear to be all present with minimal pencil markings throughout. No spine or binding damage. No unusual odor was detected. It measures H 8.5 W 5.75 D 1 inch.  Entomologist's Monthly Magazine is a British Entomological Journal that was founded and first published in 1864 by five founders – T. Blackburn, H. G. Knaggs, M.D., R. McLachlan, F.L.S., E. C. Rye and H. T. Stainton. The journal published original papers and notes on all orders of insects and terrestrial arthropods from any part of the world, specializing in groups other than Lepidoptera. It carried on in various forms and is currently being produced four times per year by Pemberley Books as of 2007.
