Pairing of French Faience Plates - A pairing of two French Faience plates.  The first features a water and floral scene. Unmarked. Dimensions: H 1.75 x W 9.5 x D 9.5 inches Condition: Some loss to the glaze and paint along the edging, but no signs of damage or repair.  The second plate features a depiction of playing cards painted in traditional Breton colorings. Marked with a Quimper maker's mark on the verso.  Dimensions: H 1.25 x W 10 x D 10 inches Condition: Some loss to the glaze and paint along the edging. Extensive craquelure, but no signs of damage or repair.  Provenance: From the private collection of Floyd and Beverly Sherman
