France, Louis XVI, late 18th century - Mirror. In gilded wood and finely carved. Original mercury mirror inserted in a frame flanked by decorations with vegetal and floral motifs. The rich cymatium with a large basket of flowers, leaves and pomegranates dominates the straight lateral lines. Provenance: Piero Betti Gallery, Via del Babuino, Rome (1992); Purchased there from the current owners.
