It's never too hot to think about quilts!

Our July Antique & Vintage Quilt & Textile Auction will feature the first of several offerings of the Sharon Stark Living Estate.  Sharon was an PA Antique Quilt and Feedsack Dealer, and in our opinion, the authority on Feedsacks!  Also included is the continuation of a northern NJ collector of Patriotic and Americana Quilts, a local NJ collector of Botanical Quilts, Singer Featherweight,   Toy Sewing Machines, Reproduction Quilt Fabric and much much more!

Vintage c1960 Plaid 9 Patch Quilt measuring 77x84". Comprised of 30 9 patch blocks, 8x8", set on point, with pink and red plaid alternating squares, setting triangles, and 6" inner border. There is also a 3.5" pink solid outer border. Backing is a pink cotton solid, and the quilt is bound in a red gingham binding. It is machine pieced and hand quilted. The batting feels like cotton, but may be a poly blend, or there may be other polyester in the quilt, because there is some pilling on the top, often seen with polyester. The quilt uses a nice variety of woven plaid fabrics skillfully and in a balanced way. In good condition with a few spots, some wear in black gingham fabric, and 2 areas along the border with soiling (someone didn't wash their hands before bed!). This quilt is part of the Living Estate of widely respected Sharon Stark of Sharon's Antiques Vintage Fabrics and Textiles of Eastern PA. She was an author and long time collector and dealer of antique quilts, fabrics and textiles. Sharon is the authority on Feedsacks, and you may remember her Rickrack website. If you have any doubt, please ask questions! We will provide extra pictures, or can schedule an in person or video conference preview at your convenience. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $25 is a domestic shipping estimate for first quilt and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy. Each additional quilt or quilt top we can pack in the same box is $5 each. Please feel free to contact us with any questions.
