Pinna Illusion Quilt - Pinna Illusion Quilt measures 30x39”. The ”Pinna Illusion” quilt refers to a quilt pattern that utilizes the optical illusion discovered by Biagio Pinna and Richard Gregory in 2002. This illusion plays with perspective and color placement to create a sense of depth and movement, often making the quilt appear to have a curved or twisted effect. Ellen used a background fabric with purple and yellow squares to coordinate with the squares in the optical illusion. It is machine pieced, machine appliqued, and machine quilted.
