Vintage c1940 Pansy Basket Quilt - Vintage c1940 Pansy Basket Quilt, possible a kit, though we could not identify it. It measures 75 by 86 inches. Openwork blue basket with purple and yellow pansies in the center of the quilt, framed by a blue ribbon, bow on the bottom, with additional groups of yellow and purple pansies. Along the edge are additional yellow and purple pansies on a green rolling hill ground framing the quilt. Hand appliquéd, hand embroidered, and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished knife edge style, by hand.
