Antique c1870 Irish Chain Quilt - Antique c1870 Irish Chain Quilt measuring 81 by 99. Comprised of 99 blocks, set straight, 9 by 9, with 50 25 square blocks and 49 alternating blocks, set straight, 9 by 11. There is a 1.25 inch double pink border followed by a 1.75 inch Dolly Varden print border followed by a 2 inch double pink outer border. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and an off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with an applied double pink print binding. Very planned and organized with the same 3 fabrics: double pink print, Dolly Varden print, and a brown floral and grid print.
