Vintage c1940 Tulip Applique Quilt - Vintage c1940 Tulip Applique Quilt measuring 72 by 92 inches. It is comprised of 20 blocks, 15.5 by 15.5 inches, set straight, 4 by 5, with 1.5 inch off white sashing and 2.5 inch off white scalloped border. It is hand pieced, hand appliquéd, hand embroidered, and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and an off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with a very pale pink applied binding. Very nice workmanship in the blanket stitch embroidery over the appliqué seams and in the quilting, very skilled needle artist.
