Antique c1890 Goose Tracks Friendship Quilt - Antique c1890 Goose Tracks Friendship Quilt measuring 78 by 79 inches. It is comprised of 16 blocks, 13.5 by 13.5 inches, set straight, 4 by 4, with 4 inch white sashing, red madder print cornerstones, and 5 inch red madder print border. It is hand pieced, hand appliquéd, hand embroidered, and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and an off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with the back brought to the front, applied by hand. In the center of each block are initials, most likely of the artist, with one block reading mother. Some of the blocks have ornate floral motifs as well.
