Guna Mola Panel Paired Owls with Fish - Panama (Guna Yala), circa 1970s 15 × 18.5 inches Worked in 3 layers of reverse appliqué, appliqué mola, and hand embroidered panel featuring two confronting owls with elaborately embroidered facial details, each with large white-inlaid eyes, above a central fish clasped in their talons, worked in three layers of black, red, and orange cotton with extensive multicolor hand embroidery throughout.
