Guna Mola Panel Abstract Botanical - Panama (Guna Yala), circa 1970s 13.5 x 15.5 inches Finely worked mola panel featuring a large central abstract botanical motif with a vertical stem-like axis flanked by symmetrical leaf forms, surmounted by paired oval pod shapes and bordered with smaller geometric and heart-shaped elements, executed in three layers of red, green, and black cotton, with additional appliqué and hand embroidery in green, orange, yellow, blue, purple, pink, and turquoise.
