Emil (20th Century), A Pair of Caricatures Depicting Morecambe and Wise and Max Wall - A pair of original caricatures executed in pen and ink with tonal grey washes on wove paper. The first sheet features a double portrait of the British comedy duo Eric Morecambe and Ernie Wise, depicted in formal attire with bow ties. This work is signed and dated lower right: Emil '75. The second sheet depicts the entertainer Max Wall in a similar expressive style, featuring bold line work and wash highlights to the face and hair.
