The figures are executed in the Black Forest style, characterised by deep, rhythmic chisel marks across the bodies to simulate the texture of fur. The sculptures are fashioned from wood finished with a dark brown stain. No signatures, maker's marks, or inscriptions are present on the undersides or bodies of the pieces.
