A Trio of Early 20th Century Brass Items Including Two Stamp Boxes and a Miniature Candlestick - This lot comprises three brass items including two cast stamp boxes and a miniature candlestick. Both boxes are rectangular in form with hinged lids and are raised on four paw feet. One box features a wood-grain textured lid with two raised vertical bands terminating in fleur-de-lis motifs. The second box features a raised central scene depicting a building, inscribed THE BLACKSMITHS SHOP GRETNA GREEN. The underside of the Gretna Green box is stamped with the British Registered Design number RD NO 623745, dating the design to circa 1913. The miniature candlestick is of turned construction with a hexagonal base. Scale: 150mm.
