A mid-century Murano sommerso art glass bowl - A mid-century Murano art glass bowl or ashtray, produced using the sommerso technique. The piece features a deep purple interior core submerged within a thick layer of smoky grey glass. The form is bi-morphic and rounded, with two distinct pinched indentations to the rim. A small, rectangular adhesive label is present on the interior base, though the text is illegible. The underside of the base is ground and polished flat. Width: approximately 170mm - 180mm.
