A Pair of Amphora Porcelain Orientalist Camel Rider Musicians - A pair of hand-painted bisque porcelain figurines produced in the Orientalist style, attributed to Amphora (Turn-Teplitz). One figurine depicts a male figure in traditional Middle Eastern attire including a turban and robes, seated on a dromedary camel and playing a stringed instrument resembling an oud. The second figurine features a similarly dressed musician playing a set of bagpipes. Both camels are detailed with decorative harness elements, tassels, and saddle cloths in shades of green, brown, and red. The figures are set upon integral, naturalistic rocky terrain bases. These pieces are characteristic of the late 19th to early 20th-century decorative wares from the Teplitz region of Bohemia. Height: 230 mm to 250 mm.
