An Edwardian Mahogany Side Chair with Floral Fabric Upholstery - A single mahogany or stained hardwood side chair dating from the early 20th century. The chair features a continuous curved outer frame to the back, which transitions from the top rail into the side stiles. The backrest contains two arched horizontal splats. The trapezoidal seat is padded and upholstered in a cream-coloured floral patterned fabric, finished with a decorative braided gimp trim around the edge. The chair stands on four legs; the front legs feature turned details with collar and bulb motifs, while the rear legs are slightly canted. The legs are supported by a turned H-stretcher. The underside shows traditional construction with jute webbing tacked to the frame. No maker's marks or manufacturer labels are visible. A small white lot sticker with the number 2080 is present on one of the rear legs.
