A Collection of Six Vintage Scottish Ephemera and Household Items, including a J. Falconer & Co. Aberdeen Mixed Pins Tin - A collection of six assorted vintage ephemera and household items. This group includes a white glazed ceramic egg cup with a blue band, marked ”FREEMASONS HOTEL STRICHEN” within a circular emblem showing shaking hands. Also a small white glazed ceramic mug with an orange and blue rim, decorated inside with a cartoonish face, and outside with the text ”FLIP YOUR ASHES ON OLD NASTY, ” an inverted swastika symbol, and ”VIOLATION OF 'POL'.” Also present is a rectangular clear glass tray with a serrated edge, featuring an embedded sepia-toned photograph of ”MARISCHAL COLLEGE, ABERDEEN.” A rectangular tin box, adorned with an iridescent blue textured pattern and gold Greek key border, is marked ”J. FALCONER & CO. ABERDEEN MIXED PINS MADE IN ENGLAND” and ”PRESS HERE” on its side. The final two items are ceramic dishes: a round, bright blue exterior dish with a white interior, bearing the retail mark ”CHINA & GLASS SPECIALIST J.W. BAKER 136 UNION ST ABERDEEN” on its base; and an irregularly shaped, white scalloped-edge tray marked ”China Merchants W. Kitson & Co. 170/172 Gallowgate Aberdeen.”
