Bidspirit auction | The Style Council The Cost
The Style Council The Cost Of Loving 1987 Vinyl LP Record and Sleeve - The lot consists of one 12-inch black vinyl long-playing record and its corresponding printed cardboard sleeve for The Style Council’s 1987 release, The Cost of Loving. The sleeve features a late-1980s graphic design dominated by large black typography against an orange field, accompanied by a full-length photograph of Paul Weller in white attire. Visible catalog numbers on the sleeve include TSCLP 4 and TSCLP 4/DIAC. The back and inner sleeve sections contain extensive printed lyrics, liner notes, and production credits confirming the recording took place in October 1986 at Solid State Studios, London. The central label of the vinyl disc features a black-and-white portrait of Paul Weller and lists tracks for Side One: It Didn't Matter and Right To Go. The label bears the copyright date P 1987 Polydor Ltd (London). Note: The Cost of Loving was originally released as a double LP set; this lot contains the original sleeve but only one of the two expected vinyl discs.
